The Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce 24 Lakewood Center Mall Lakewood, CA 90712 562-531-9733 info@lakewoodchamber.com
The Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce was incorporated on April 11, 1949, five years before the city of Lakewood. A time when Truman was inaugurated as President and color TV was first introduced by RCA. It was this year that Chrysler first offered a key ignition instead of a push button!
The Chamber has resided in several locations including the former Dutch Village Shopping Center, the Burns Community Center, Dr. David Goren's office, and two different locations on Del Amo Blvd. The Chamber then moved to 4010 Watson Plaza Drive, Suite 130 in Lakewood in 2005, and in December 2008 we relocated to 24 Lakewood Center Mall, Lakewood, CA 90712.
Through the years, the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce has provided many services and events such as the Business Forecast Luncheon, The Business Expo, Business @ Breakfast, SBDC Classes and One-on-One Counseling, the Women In Business Council, The Latino Business Council, Ribbon Cuttings & Mixers, the Annual Go Green Golf Tournament, The Annual Car Show, and the Annual installation and Awards Banquet. Other events include the Candidate Forum, Meet Elected Officials, and Welcome to Lakewood socials.
It's amazing to think how far the Chamber has come over the years. Although there have been a lot of changes over the past 60 years, there are some things that have remained the same. The hard work and commitment by dedicated volunteers and staff of the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce has allowed the Chamber to grow and become the advocate it is today for Chamber Members in the business community.
"The Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce promotes a healthy business environment for the community."
