Government Affairs Committee (GAC)

The Government Affairs Committee works to ensure that the business community has a voice that is heard in Sacramento.

The GAC, the business advocacy arm of the Chamber, has faced a very challenging year fighting "job killer" bills being driven by the anti-business legislators in Sacramento. As the collective voice for the membership, the Chamber and the Government Affairs Committee are striving to create and support a more business-friendly environment for the greater Lakewood area, the region, and the state.

The Committee is using the Chamber Website and e-mails to communicate with members in addition to the monthly articles in the Lakewood Community News. This provides an efficient way for members to receive current information.

We welcome all members to attend our committee meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, at Noon at the Gateway Business Bank Community Room. We also strongly encourage members to support and participate in pro-business advocacy activities.
